The Monte Carlo Rendez-Vous is the largest reinsurance meeting in the world, and the majority of trade magazines produce daily newsletters. Journalists are under extreme pressure to produce the daily newsletters – and they are bombarded with invitations from communications departments and public relations firms who are keen to have their clients featured. For the 2017 Rendez-Vous, Rein4ce represented 10 clients.
In order to produce the daily newsletters and special editions for September to coincide with the Rendez-Vous, many of the interviews are conducted in advance and opinion pieces are written beforehand. Preparations began in the first half of the year as Rein4ce liaised with trade magazines to ensure our clients achieve the widest possible exposure. This involved arranging pre-event interviews and round table slots, brainstorming with clients for opinion piece ideas and pitching them, organising and staffing interviews at the event, then preparing comprehensive coverage reports.
For the 10 clients we represented, Rein4ce secured 70 pieces of coverage in 13 media outlets, including 18 pieces which were written by Rein4ce staff.
Our clients were featured in AM Best TV, Business Insurance, Global Reinsurance, Insurance Day, Insurance Insider, Insurance Journal, Intelligent Insurer, the Reactions CEO supplement, Reinsurance, and The Royal Gazette in Bermuda.
