Rein4ce co-founder and Chief Executive Mairi Mallon, aka @reinsurancegirl, is a well-known insurance and reinsurance public relations professional.
Mairi is recognised as one of the industry’s leading proponents of social media and is well known in the London market and in insurance circles in Bermuda.
She founded Rein4ce in 2008 with Stephen Breen, and is known for combining creativity and market and media insight with drive and enthusiasm when representing clients.
Mairi has worked with insurance and reinsurance companies around the world, providing both traditional public relations consultancy and social media training and advice. Mairi is an in-demand speaker who has presented to the International Underwriting Association, Institute of Actuaries, and Women in Insurance.
Prior to founding Rein4ce, Mairi was a senior insurance and reinsurance journalist writing for most of the re/insurance industry trade publications and has excellent contacts with all the key trade media in London, Bermuda and internationally.
For five years she was a staff reporter in Bermuda on The Royal Gazette and Bermuda Sun newspapers, and was the Reuters business correspondent on the island.
She was brought up all over the world and speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese.

Stephen Breen is a seasoned PR professional who is sought out for boardroom-level advice. As well as working strategically with clients, Stephen, who is Managing Director, heads up Rein4ce’s acclaimed media training service.
Stephen helps create and execute effective PR strategies for Rein4ce’s insurance and reinsurance clients in UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.
He has 30 years’ experience working in public relations and the media and is a former staff reporter on UK and Bermuda national newspapers, as well as writing for reinsurance trade magazines.
Combining PR know-how with market knowledge and journalistic contacts, Stephen has a track record of eliciting from clients the types of stories the media will want to hear.
Stephen has been working in PR since 2005 and before this was a journalist working on various titles, including The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, the Bermuda Royal Gazette and Reuters news agency.
Stephen is a passionate supporter of Celtic Football Club, is an avid reader, and has finally discovered the gym.

Sarah Hills is an integral part of the Rein4ce management team. As well as leading on key accounts, Sarah has responsibility for managing the team to make sure we always deliver the best levels of service to our clients.
She brings detailed market knowledge, top notch writing skills and enthusiasm to the company, as well as being part of the business development unit. She liaises with marketing and communications teams and company executives to help businesses get their message across to the desired audience.
Sarah, who is known as @ILSDiva on twitter, is a former award-winning insurance trade journalist who was the insurance-linked securities (ILS) correspondent for the Reuters news agency.
Sarah has a deep knowledge of ILS, insurance and reinsurance, and their growing convergence with the global capital markets.
At Reuters, she edited and developed an ILS-focused community website that reached more than 2,000 professionals involved in or interested in ILS. Prior to joining Reuters, Sarah worked at Insurance Age and Post.
Sarah has an awesome collection of shoes and prides herself in being able to play almost any sport – and believes she can beat anyone at bowling/pingpong/crazygolf.

Helen Smith is an accomplished communications professional who is an integral part of the Rein4ce team.
With a background in in-house communications, Helen is a strong strategic thinker who understands the challenges faced by marketing and communications teams.
Before joining Rein4ce, Helen, @helensmithpr on twitter, worked with some of the leading companies in the insurance and reinsurance industries.
Helen began her career in 1999 with Goldman Sachs, then moved to global re/insurance broker Aon Group in 1999 and joined Willis in 2004, where she was communications director for Willis Re.
She joined Rein4ce in 2015 and now runs several key accounts as well as helping forge the strategic direction of the company.
An enthusiastic self-starter with deep reinsurance market knowledge, Helen has Chartered Institute of Marketing ACIM status and a degree in Modern History from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.
The office has a growing list of “Helenisms” including old-fashioned saying such as “up with a sparrow’s fart”.

Caitlin Jennings has been learning the PR and communications ropes at Rein4ce and now works across key accounts and manages social media for several clients.
Caitlin, @rein4ceCaitlin on Twitter, has developed first class writing skills through managing newsletters and writing collateral for clients. She has been developing strategic social media skills, which have added to her growing expertise in the corporate use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Caitlin is also involved in research projects, shaping the company’s social media strategy and managing content for the website.
Caitlin has an Honours degree in History and Philosophy from St Mary’s University, Twickenham. Prior to joining Rein4ce, she undertook work experience at Lloyd’s insurer Barbican Insurance Group. Among her previous jobs, Caitlin worked as a 101 Police call handler with Dorset Police.
Caitlin is a newbie gym bunnie and can deadlift 135 kg, can squat 125 kg and is a Star Wars geek.

Account Executive Conal Urquhart has more than 20 years of experience in the international media and public relations.
Conal joined Rein4ce in 2018 and is responsible for advising clients on their communications strategies.
As a journalist, Conal covered a range of wars from the Balkans to the Middle East, as well as business and politics in the UK and elsewhere.
He also worked in communications and public relations for different agencies of the United Nations in the Middle East such as the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the UN Development Programme.
Conal reported for a wide range of national and international titles such as The Scotsman, The Times, The Guardian and the Economist, and he has held senior editor roles at Scotland on Sunday, Time magazine and China Daily.
Highlights of Conal’s journalism career include interviewing Sean Connery and Mick Jagger and reporting from an S&M club in the Middle East.
