Rein4ce co-founder and Chief Executive Mairi Mallon is a well-known communications expert working in the global insurance and reinsurance markets.

Mairi, an experienced public relations (PR) consultant aka @reinsurancegirl, set up Rein4ce in 2008 and she is recognised as one of the industry’s early adopters and champions of social media.

Rein4ce is now known for achieving great results by combining creativity with market insight and media experience – all done with drive and enthusiasm.
The company serves listed and private companies in London, Bermuda, Zurich, Jordan and the United States.

Mairi is a former journalist who has worked globally for insurance and reinsurance trade publications as well as national press in the UK and US.

Mairi began writing about insurance and reinsurance in 1998 as a business editor in Bermuda and went on to write for most of the trade publications for the next ten years before setting up her specialist PR firm.

As a child, she lived in India, Africa, Latin America and Europe, and she speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese.

Rein4ce Managing Director and media training lead Stephen Breen

Stephen Breen is a seasoned PR professional who is sought out for boardroom-level advice. As well as working strategically with clients, Stephen, who is Managing Director, heads up Rein4ce’s acclaimed media training service.

Stephen helps create and execute effective PR strategies for Rein4ce’s insurance and reinsurance clients in UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

He has 30 years’ experience working in public relations and the media and is a former staff reporter on UK and Bermuda national newspapers, as well as writing for reinsurance trade magazines.

Combining PR know-how with market knowledge and journalistic contacts, Stephen has a track record of eliciting from clients the types of stories the media will want to hear.

Stephen has been working in PR since 2005 and before this was a journalist working on various titles, including The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, the Bermuda Royal Gazette and Reuters news agency.

Stephen is a passionate supporter of Celtic Football Club, is an avid reader, and has finally discovered the gym.

Rein4ce Reinsurance and ILS PR Team Lead Sarah Hills

Sarah Hills is an integral part of the Rein4ce management team. As well as leading on key accounts, Sarah has responsibility for managing the team to make sure we always deliver the best levels of service to our clients.

She brings detailed market knowledge, top notch writing skills and enthusiasm to the company, as well as being part of the business development unit. She liaises with marketing and communications teams and company executives to help businesses get their message across to the desired audience.

Sarah, who is known as @ILSDiva on twitter, is a former award-winning insurance trade journalist who was the insurance-linked securities (ILS) correspondent for the Reuters news agency.

Sarah has a deep knowledge of ILS, insurance and reinsurance, and their growing convergence with the global capital markets.

At Reuters, she edited and developed an ILS-focused community website that reached more than 2,000 professionals involved in or interested in ILS. Prior to joining Reuters, Sarah worked at Insurance Age and Post.

Sarah has an awesome collection of shoes and prides herself in being able to play almost any sport – and believes she can beat anyone at bowling/pingpong/crazygolf.

Public relations and social media pro Caitlin Jennings

Caitlin Jennings is an experienced PR and communications professional at Rein4ce who leads key accounts. Clients include start-ups, listed companies and established privately-owned companies in the insurance, reinsurance and fintech industries.

Caitlin, @rein4ceCaitlin on Twitter, works at a strategic level with global marketing managers, founders, and CEOs. She knows the insurance media inside out and has developed brand-aligned traditional and social media plans that reflect the core values of clients – as well as being interesting and thought-provoking.

Caitlin is part of the media and social media training teams and has delivered training to top brokers, associations and insurance companies.

A graduate of St Mary’s University, Twickenham, she is a member of the CIPR and is the first person who is not part of an insurance company who has been invited to join the DXC Technology Digital Minds 2020 cohort.

Caitlin, is an integral member of the Rein4ce team, loves the gym – she can deadlift 150 kg and squat 135 kg – and is a Star Wars geek.
