Arc Legal has appointed Ashley Law as chief executive officer, with the specialist legal expenses insurer preparing for its next phase of growth under ANV Group ownership.
Law, who joined the business as chief operating officer in late 2025, succeeds Lee Taylor and will lead the business as ANV sharpens its focus on expansion in the UK market.
Commenting on the appointment, Law said: “The business continues to grow, and the leadership team, reinforced over the past year, will maintain the momentum established under Mr Taylor’s tenure.”
Pinion Insurance has appointed industry veteran Chris Jones as group chief financial officer, strengthening its leadership team as the technology‑enabled specialty insurer prepares to begin underwriting.
Jones brings more than three decades of senior financial and operational experience across insurance and reinsurance platforms.
Commenting on the appointment, Pinion co‑founder Neil McConachie said: “Chris brings deep financial expertise and a strong track record of helping businesses scale responsibly, which will be invaluable as Pinion enters its next phase.”
Insurance Business has reported on New Dawn Risk partnership with Continent 8 Technologies to link cyber insurance pricing directly to an operator’s security maturity, enabling premium discounts for iGaming businesses with robust controls in place.
The integrated proposition combines Continent 8’s cyber security services with New Dawn Risk’s insurance placement, aligning underwriting outcomes with operational resilience and continuity.
Commenting on the launch, Elizabeth Grima said the partnership delivers “a truly end‑to‑end risk management package” for a sector facing evolving cyber and regulatory pressures.
ANV has completed the acquisition of Iris Insurance Brokers, the owner of UK distribution platform Blink Intermediary Solutions. The deal brings Blink’s broker-facing technology, products and services into the ANV group, expanding its distribution reach and enhancing support for independent brokers.
Blink Intermediary Solutions will continue to operate under its existing brand, with its management team remaining in place. ANV said the acquisition aligns with its strategy of investing in specialist platforms that support broker growth and improve access to tailored insurance solutions. The move reflects ANV’s ongoing focus on long-term partnerships, scalable distribution and investment in platforms that add tangible value to brokers.
SiriusPoint has announced a restructuring that brings its North America and International programmes operations together under a new Global P&C Programmes division, while international chief executive Rob Gibbs departs the business.
The group will now operate across four business areas, including a new London Market Specialty division, as it looks to sharpen its operating model and build on recent underwriting and financial progress.
“These changes are a natural evolution of SiriusPoint as we build on the significant progress made over the past three years,” said chief executive Scott Egan.

In an interview with The Insurer at the 2026 Bermuda Risk Summit, Kier James, Multistrat’s Chief Underwriting Officer said commercial auto has been difficult for the past two to three years, but strong pricing has held and adequacy is now coming back into view.
James pointed to selective opportunities across casualty lines, growing investor interest in workers’ compensation despite long‑tail risk, and a Bermuda market that has broadened beyond property catastrophe.
